This is a 100% original M1 Garand Lend Lease. One of 38000 Garands transferred to England during WW2 under the Lend-Lease Program. It is in excellent condition and shows ALL the Lend Lease characteristics, Including the correct SERIAL RANGE, FLUSH-NUT REAR SIGHT, UNCUT OPERATING ROD, MILLED TRIGGER GUARD, GROOVED REAR HANDGUARD BAND, Front SIGHT CAP, UPSIDE DOWN BARREL DATE(Aug 41') and PROPER BRITISH PROOF MARKS. IT HAS A NICE CLEAR CARTOUCHE AND CIRCLE P PROOF. The finish is excellent, the bore is bright and shiny and the barrel gauges at a ONE. It also still has its original roll pin.
This pre Pearl Harbor Garand would make an excellent addition to any collection.
