Lay-a-way this rare, early Savage 10ML-II smokeless powder "heavy barrel" blue steel muzzleloader, with 24" barrel and the famous Accu-Trigger, pay for it in the fall, hunt with it in the winter. Don't miss your chance to own this mint condition, possibly unfired or at least fired very little 50 caliber in-line muzzleloader. It has an early heavy barrel. Look at the taper on the barrel nut and you will see how short the taper is compared to later guns with the longer taper, which had reduced barrel diameter. The first early barrels were made to provide a very rigid barrel to control vibration and thus making for very accurate bullet placement and tight groups. A short time later, Savage thought they should reduce barrel outside diameter to trim off some weight, so the heavy barrel model was very limited. The action and barrel are mounted on a beautiful, laminated thumbhole stock. It is capable of firing "smokeless powder", black powder, pyrodex and most black powder substitutes. Tired of your black powder muzzleloader fouling after even just three or four shots where you need a sledge hammer to drive home the ramrod to load the next bullet. Or you just don't feel like cleaning your black powder gun after each day's shoot. Stop messing around with black powder and go SMOKELESS!!
