Payment Types Accepted: Description: A very rare design, similare to the one Prague museum (see last three attachements), with 3 swiveling hand turned barrels and an additional 4 barrels in the butstock. The 3 barrels upfront can be fired by a matchlock mechanism, the other 4 by means of a handheld piece of matchcord. The barrels are locked in place by a catch which can be released by a lever in front of the trigger. Underneath the butstock the two piece ramrod was hosued, only one of these is still with the gun. The whole gun shows signs of cleaning with some original finish still left on the stock. Non of the powderpans have the covers, which were most likely very delicate. Only very few of such guns where ever made and were mostly used as an experiment and show of skill and luxury. At the start of the renaissance there were a lot of experimental guns made to further the ever growing need of more powerfull arms and armour. Such luxury items were reserved for high ranking people and would have taken great skill to build.
