30" SxS chopper-lump barrels of Sir Joseph Whitworth's Fluid Compressed Steel, choked light modified & skeet. 14 3/8" pull from front trigger to checkered horn buttplate. 1 1/2" - 2 1/2" drop. No cast.

Stocked with fully figured European walnut: Anson pushbutton splinter forend, Straight English grip, classic point-pattern checkering, teardrops, and vacant silver initial oval.

Fully scroll engraved sidelock action with Woodward's signature castellated fences, lightly-protruding gold-line cocking indicators, bushed firing pins, and automatic top tang safety with T-shaped slide fully covering SAFE in gold when ready to fire.

Weight: 6lbs, 12oz. Built in 1898 for 19th Century firearms magnate Marcellus Hartley. With documentation from Purdey's. Birmingham reproved for 2 1/2" cartridges in 2000. 98% barrel blue. Traces original casehardening colors. Tight. Excellent bores. Ejectors in time. In sound, period, leather trunk case with a full complement of accessories and maker's label.
