The Model 03-A3 rifle, also known as the Springfield M1903, is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. It was officially adopted as a United States military bolt action rifle on June 19, 1903, and saw service in World War I. Although it was replaced by the M1 Garand in 1937, it remained in service as a standard issue infantry rifle during World War II and was also used as a sniper rifle during the Korean War and early stages of the Vietnam War. The rifle is known for its reliability and accuracy, making it a prized addition to any collection. This example has a barrel marked SC 8-43.
