Op-rod is uncut and marked “D35382 3 SA." Rifle retains its early Type 2 rear sight, and faint black enamel finish is still visible on the gas cylinder—a feature often seen on rifles from this period. Trigger housing is marked “D28290-12-SA" and the hammer “C46008-5 SA." Stock shows light handling wear and bears faint yet correct mid-war cartouches: “S.A./FMF" and Ordnance Wheel on the right side, with a circled “P" proof behind the wrist. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A well-preserved and correctly configured example of an early 1942 U.S. M1 Garand rifle with a period correct sling. Price: $4,250.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
