Winchester pre-64 Model 70 standard weight bolt action rifle. 30-06 caliber. Serial #178905 which dates to 1951. Made in USA. The barrel is 24 inch. Rifle has a blank installed in the rear sight dovetail to clear the scope and has the original open front sight with hood. The scope is a very clear Weaver K4 wide angle scope with heavy duplex crosshair. Weight 9 lb 4 oz. LOP is 13 5/8” from trigger to the Winchester branded recoil pad. Trigger is 2 lb 4 oz - not as many attorneys at Winchester in 1951.... The rifle is in very good condition with beautiful deep blued steel and nice figured walnut wood grain. The rifling and grooves in the barrel are in great condition. Excellent sample for a Pre-64 Winchester Featherweight fan to own. Shipping costs include packaging, FFL transfer on my end, USPS shipping the rifle in the lower 48 states, and full insurance. Shipping to Alaska is a few bucks more.
