"Made circa 1845. 68 Pinfire Caliber with 27.5" barrels The barrels are octagon and have a Damascus pattern. The barrels have a dark gray patina. Interestingly the barrels have a provision for a bayonet. The action is chiseled and expertly done. Both the barrels and the locks marked “Beringer a Paris" The stock is burled Circassian walnut. The trigger guard has the initials in gold “D.C." This This gun comes in an original case . The wrist has been repaired. The interior is relined. Very fine early cartridge double rifle.
