Description:
A true piece of Winchester competition history. This early Model 12 is a factory Tournament Grade shotgun — the hand-fitted, competition-level model built for top trap and tournament shooters of the 1910s and 1920s.

It features the rare solid rib barrel, high-grade checkered walnut stock, and the extended carved forend that fits flush into the receiver — hallmarks of Winchester’s elite custom shop work of the era. The bluing retains excellent depth and sheen with acknowledgment of a potential for current bluing, and the action is smooth, tight, and functions perfectly. Bore is bright and clean.

Unlike later field models, these early Tournament Grades were built in small numbers and individually fitted by Winchester’s master gunsmiths. Very few have survived in this condition today, and even fewer retain their original rib and deluxe wood.

This is a highly collectible early-production Model 12 (marked “Model 1912”) that predates mass trap production — ideal for serious Winchester collectors or anyone who appreciates the finest pre-war craftsmanship.

An outstanding example of one of Winchester’s most sought-after grades.
Rare. Beautiful. Collector-worthy.
