Description:
A very nice condition French Mas MLE 49/56 rifle in 7.5 French, made circa 1959-1960. These were the final iteration of the Mas 44 family of rifles and feature an optics rail, grenade launcher, and gas cut off. These were used heavily in combat by the foreign legion in Indochina (Vietnam) and Algeria during the last days of the French colonial empire. This example is in the original 7.5 French cartridge and was arsenal overhauled in 1984. Matching external serial numbers, non matching internals (very common for refurbished MAS rifles). The metal retains almost all of it’s original finish, with some thinning along edges. The wood has a few light scratches and compressions, but no cracks. I have fired this rifle and it operated perfectly with PPU ammunition. Comes with 1 10rd magazine, additional magazines and sling available.
