Capacity: 5 rounds (internal box magazine)
Caliber: .30?06 Springfield
Action: Bolt action
Barrel Length: 24 in
Bore: 4?groove rifling — bright, shiny bore with sharp rifling.
Finish: Parkerized finish
Stock Material / Type: Very nice walnut straight stock — appears to have been carefully sanded and refinished; cartouches still visible though dulled; overall very attractive sheen with minimal wear for a wartime rifle.
Sights: Fixed front blade; receiver?mounted aperture (peep) rear sight
MFG Date: Barrel stamped 4-43, consistent with the serial number placing early-mid 1943 in Remington production. No vice grip marks or evidence of a barrel swap.
Features:
  • All major parts with visible production stamps bear Remington markings, matching in condition and appearance
  • Correct early 1943 wartime Remington configuration, including:
    • 4-groove bore
    • Straight stock
    • Smooth buttplate (no checkering)
    • Proper stock cartouches: "FJA" (Frank J. Atwood) and "Circle P" firing proof
  • Bayonet lug, sling swivels, and buttstock cleaning kit storage trap present
Extras: Reproduction WWII?style sling
Condition: Very good condition for a wartime rifle of this type— the parkerized finish and small blue finished parts are generally well preserved and consistent across the whole firearm, minor handling wear and aging across metal surfaces. The excellent wooden stock has been sanded but remains in very attractive condition with limited dings; cartouches are still visible. Bore is excellent (bright with sharp rifling). All visible parts show Remington manufacturer marks and similar wear; no obvious parts stand out as non-matching. Correct smooth buttplate (no checkering).

Whether you're a WWII collector, a vintage bolt-action enthusiast, or simply looking for a historically significant shooter, this Remington M1903A3 checks all the boxes. With a matching 4-43 Remington barrel, bright 4-groove bore, and consistent Remington-marked parts throughout, this rifle reflects the quality and craftsmanship of wartime U.S. production. The refinished walnut stock retains its original military character, with visible inspection cartouches and an attractive overall appearance.
This is a solid, honest example of a classic American service rifle — clean, correct, and ready for the range or display. The M1903A3 represents the final evolution of the Springfield bolt-action design, and rifles like this are becoming increasingly hard to find in such well-preserved condition. Don’t miss the chance to add a piece of WWII history to your collection.
