Description:
Manufactured by Colt’s Patent Firearms Company between 1915 and 1977, the “Targetsman” is a semi-auto pistol chambered for .22 LR. The “Targetsman” was like the “Huntsman” and both models had 6-inch barrels. However, the “Targetsman” had a factory rear sight that was adjustable for windage and elevation and a slight thumb-rest for the right-handshooter on the hard rubber grips. The 10-shot magazine has a release at the bottom of the grip and the safety also serves to lock the slide open.
This pistol has been used and has quite a bit of blue wear, however these pistols were well made and very tough and mechanically the pistol works flawlessly with standard velocity .22 Long Rifle ammo.
The bore is good as well.
I think some of the hardest guns to find are the ones that are not too nice to use but not so used as to be wore-out. This is one of those pistols and would be a great addition to any camp or just for plinking cans.
