This 1935 Tikka Mosin-Nagant Model 27, based on our examination, has no import marks. It features a Fin Bolt HV-type. The magazine has been arsenal altered for the HV rounds. The trigger is an M39 type. The serial numbers found on the receiver and bolt handle match. The tang date is scrubbed, so we do not have the actual manufacturer or date of the receiver.
This rifle is in unused condition since its rearsenal in Finland. It has not been fired since being shipped to the United States. The bore, stock, and metal on this rifle reflect this. The original stock shims are still in place. All metal beneath the wood retains its Finn grease.
This Model 27's buttstock sports roundels on each side. According to our research, the English Order rondel on the left side indicates that this walnut stock was at one time on a Westinghouse Mosin-Nagant. The roundel on the right is from the Russian Inspection Commission. This is a two-piece Finned wartime splice with the rounded joints. Forward splice and handguard are made of arctic birch.
