Description: The Ruger Model 77 is famous for its impressive accuracy and smooth, reliable action—especially its rifles with long extractor controlled-feed design. The Model 77 has long been a prime choice for hunters of all game, with models varying from rimfire varmint rifles to large magnum African game guns. This rifle is a 1984-made RSI "International" Model 77. The rifle is quick to identify, thanks to its shortened 18 ½" barrel and full-length Mannlicher-style walnut stock, delivering classic European sporting aesthetic. The rifle is chambered in .308 Winchester and features a fixed internal magazine with hinged magazine floorplate, capable of holding 4 cartridges. The stock is oil-finished with checkering on the forend and pistol grip and wears the original brown rubber buttpad. The receiver has the iconic proprietary M77 scope mount system and includes a set of 1" rings. The rifle also wears a set of open sporter-style sights, with an adjustable folding rear sight and fixed front blade sight with ramp. The rifle exhibits damage to the stock's finish, which appears to be from improper storage. There is spotted wear throughout the stock, especially around the pistol grip areas. However, the gloss blued finish on the barrel and receiver is in good condition. The barrel looks largely good on the inside, but has some light pitting in the last couple inches from the muzzle. The muzzle cap on the stock and the barrel muzzle itself both exhibit heavy rust and pitting—again, likely from improper storage. The extractor also has some light surface rust. This Model 77 includes a suede leather sling and black Allen elastic cartridge carrier, but does not include a box or case. .308 Winchester Price: $1,199.99 Chambers: .308 Winchester Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Fair Bore Condition: Fair Barrels: 18 1/2 Stock Dimensions: 13 1/2" LOP Fore End: Checkered oil-finished walnut Butt Pad: Rubber buttpad Weight: 7 Lbs 2 oz Sights: 1" Ruger M77 rings; adjustable folding rear sight w/ fixed ramped front blade sight Item Location: Kearney, NE |
