Description:
1894 Marlin Rifle in 38-40. Special Ordered 1/2 magazine tube. 24" round barrel and magazine tube retain 50-55% original blue with the remainder a nice brown / gray patina. Nice bore that I will a 7.5 maybe an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. Nice markings. Receiver retains a nice brown / gray patina with traces of case colors in protected areas. Action functions nicely. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition. There is a tiny hairline crack in left wrist area (see pic). Someone in years past added some sort of sling mounts to the rifle. There is a hole in belly of buttstock and a hole in the forend cap (see pics). Correct crescent style buttplate. All in all a decent 1894 Marlin in a popular caliber offered at a less then average price. Please feel free to ask questions. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder.
