Guns Listing ID: 580346

Serial No. 181928, manufactured in April 1918 by Remington, chambered in .30-06 Springfield. Features a 26" round barrel marked “R / Flaming Bomb / 2-18"; right side of the barrel bears standard import markings. Serial numbers are non-matching, though the bolt is marked “R", indicating Remington manufacture. Stock shows light handling wear with impression marks noted. A faint ornate C-tripod cartouche is present on the stock, denoting Canadian postwar use. Canada acquired approximately 80,000 Model 1917 rifles in 1940, with some later reissued to Denmark and Greenland. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A historically significant example of the Model 1917 rifle, which saw continued service well beyond World War I. (L2025-05270)
