The perfect hunting gun either on foot or from the saddle, lightweight, nimble and fast to action the 94′ is simple, safe, and reliable. The Model 94 is the rifle most associated with the Winchester name, it has sold over 7,000,000 units and is often referred to as the “ultimate lever-action”. This Winchester Model 94, sn1370934, was manufactured in circa 1946 and has the desirable long wood forend. The barrel shows 98% factory bluing and a perfect 10 out of 10 bore and chambers the .32WS (ballistically superior to the .30-30). The receiver has 98% bluing with the some edge silvering at the balance point, excellent screws and excellent wood to metal fit. The furniture has good grain, the forend is especially nice, there is an old plugged sling mount hole near the toe and a corresponding professional fix on the barrel band. This is an honest gun that has been used for its intended purpose, its been carried and at some point, in it’s history, an owner added a sling to make it more practical! There are some expected handling marks overall, but on such a useful gun they are just honest character marks. Overall, a great looking Winchester Model 94, produced just after the end of the Second World War. Its wears its history well and is looking for its next guardian. Priced to sell.
