Description:
This is a superb example of an antique Webley # 5 Revolver, chambered in .360 CF and finished in nickel. The finish on the gun is original with nearly 98-99% of nickel remaining. All the markings are sharp, including the Webley "Winged bullet" logo on the left side of the frame. Excellent bore and grips. Desirable London retailer stamp on the top strap. It comes with a period holster, inscribed: "Used in protection of several Viceroys of India and Governors of Bengal. 22/8/39"
A superb condition Webley that was most likely carried by a British High Government official in India at the turn of the century.
