Description:
An over-and-under built by Caeser Guerini exclusively for Orvis from the early 2000’s until it was “discontinued” in 2018.
The gun is built on Caesar Guerini’s scaled, trigger plate action with sideplates, which are devoid of engraving and feature a bright color case hardening, manual safety, and single-selective trigger. The bottom of the receiver is discreetly marked with the “Orvis Sporting Traditions Since 1856” logo.
The gun is stocked in nicely figured walnut with a rounded semi-pistol grip, 14 3/8” LOP over a leather covered pad, and a rounded forend. The stock oval remains blank.
The original 28g barrels are 28” with 2 ¾” (70mm) chambers, a “field” type ventilated top rib and a single brass bead at the muzzle. The barrels are serial numbered to the receiver and marked: “Orvis Uplander Special”.
The barrels include the original set of 6 flush fit factory tubes:

In addition to a set of 5 extended Caesar Guerini “Selectachoke Sporting” tubes:

The gun weighs 6 lbs. 6 lbs. 4.7 oz. with 28g barrels.
Also included are a set of 36g (.410”) and 20g barrels. Both sets of additional barrels have their own rounded forends and are 28” long with parallel “Sporting” type ventilated top-ribs.
The .410” barrels’ rib measures 8mm with a brass mid-bead and white bead at the muzzles.
The 36g has 3” chambers (76mm) and includes a set of Set of 5 Extended “Selectachoke Sporting” tubes:

The gun weighs: 6 lbs. 13.3 oz. with the 36g (.410”) barrels.
The 20g barrels’ top-rib measures 10mm and has a brass mid-bead and white bead at the muzzles. The 20g barrels also have vented side ribs, and 2 ¾” (70mm) chambers with a set of 5 extended “Selectachoke Competition” tubes:

The gun weighs: 6 lbs. 9.6 oz. with the 20g barrels.
The gun has seen some use, but the barrels remain tight and show little to no signs of use on any of the three sets. The stock shows only the slightest handling marks. The receiver shows some superficial scratches in the lacquer over the color hardening, but nothing to the in the metal.
Overall, the gun remains excellent and is in a factory case for a 3-barrel set.
