LOOKS "MUCH" BETTER IN HAND THAN PHOTOS!!! ....Winchester Second Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle...44-40 .... LAYAWAY?
Manufactured in 1877, with a Second Model receiver and flush "thumbprint" dust cover.
Condition: Very Good overall, with a mix of grey and brown patina, some scattered light pitting, and an old refinishing of the wood with an area of filler, just to the rear of receiver right side where tang and receiver meet. 1.1/2" x 1/2". and very minor handling marks. Almost looks like a natural wood discoloration. Mechanically functions nice and smoothly.. Bore is dark with distinct rifling. Serial number: 30569. 2nd models are hard to find.
