About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years. Now I feel that it is time to start selling a few things. All firearms transactions will be handled by a local Gun shop who will follow all firearms laws. All firearms purchased will be shipped by them to your F.F.L. I do my best to price my items fairly. Description:
Winchester Model 70, Pre-64 Standard Rifle in .243 Winchester. made in 1957. Winchester only made 6812 Standard rifles in .243 Winchester representing only 1.17% of total production which makes these somewhat rare. In contrast, they made almost 4 times that many in the Featherweight model. This one is 58 years old but is in excellent condition. There is slight bluing wear on the front sight hood, the bolt handle, and the buttplate. The metal is in great shape. The wood is very nice Walnut with dark streaking and with some fiddleback in the buttstock. There is a tiny scratch on the left side of the stock just below the action. There is what looks like a rub mark on the bottom of the buttstock right in front of the sling swivel. They are both minor. The bolt is numbered to the receiver. The bore is bright with sharp riflings and there are no dings in the muzzle. The bolt action is smooth and does not bind. The rifle does not appear to have been altered in any way but there is slight evidence of a scope mount that has been removed.The late 1950s model 70s all had the high comb stock and were all drilled and tapped for mounting a scope.

SAFETY WARNING- Buyer is solely responsible for determining that a used gun is safe to shoot. The firearms offered may or may not have been test fired, and some have been only visually inspected. It is a requirement that every used firearm is inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing. The buyer agrees to hold seller harmless against damages, injury, or death caused by defective merchandise.
RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, the buyer pays all shipping charges both ways. Please ask questions.
Return Policy Guidelines of GunsInternational Unless the buyer and seller agree to modify, as may be the case in a new gun, layaway, international sales and for used guns and accessories it must be clearly marked in the listing as No Return, the return policy is three (3) calendar days from the day the item(s) are received by the buyer or delivered to the FFL acting for the buyer. The item may be returned for any reason, but the buyer must notify the seller within the three (3) calendar day inspection period. The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges. On a return the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller. Once the firearm has been received by the seller and inspected a prompt refund will be issued. Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item(s). The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance i.e... Priority, Express, Blue Label etc. The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer. This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled. Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund. Recommendation: Confirm purchase with all details via the Contact Seller form within the listing and print out the listing for your records. Industry standard is that if a buyer fails to perform on a layaway that any monies deposited are forfeited. GunsInternational recommends all layaways are agreed in writing. Any modification of the 3 day return policy must be in writing by both buyer and seller.
