Description:
Vintage British occupation zone of Austria, Josef Winkler of Ferlach alpine double rifle Drilling a.k.a. Bockdrilling in 12GA 2 3/4", 8x57 IRS and .22 long rifle. Sidelock with double Kersten crossbolt and extractor. Tang rifled barrel selector, safety next to the trigger. Elaborate alpine game and scroll engraving with a few Edelweiss thrown in for good measure. 23.6" barrels with solid rib, gold inlaid flip up rear sight. German Hensoldt Dialyt 4X in need of a clean on a Suhl type claw mount. A modern Weaver / Picatinny has been added, please note the hand engraved scope rings! Nice dark walnut stock with hand cut checkering and good recoil pad. Very good bore condition, good metal finish, some cleaning marks on the scope, stock with few handling marks, small repair to the front of the pistol grip with wood filler. OAL=40.5", LOP=14.2",weight with sling and scope=8.4 lbs. We charge the standard 3% fee for all credit card transactions.
