"Serial No. 5415, made circa 1942, chambered in 6.5x52mm, with a 27" round barrel. Receiver is clearly marked “CROWN/F.A.T./42," indicating manufacture at the Terni arsenal in 1942. Metal surfaces show a smooth grey patina with strong remnants of original bluing remaining on the receiver. The stock is very good with minor handling marks consistent with age. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A solid example of a mid-war Italian service rifle, representative of the later Carcano production period.
