"Serial No. 78154, manufactured mid-1943 at the Nagoya Arsenal, Series 5. Chambered in 7.7x58mm Arisaka with a 26" round barrel. This late mid-war production Type 99 retains its original matching serial numbers, and the Imperial chrysanthemum (mum) has been ground off, Notably, the rifle retains its anti-aircraft rear sights, typical of Series 5 production—lacks the monopod as simplification measures were being implemented by this time. Stock exhibits light handling impressions and retains its original configuration. Overall metal finish remains very good. The bolt action cycles smoothly, and the rifle is fully functional.
