"Serial No. 62261, manufactured in 1900 by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori, chambered in 6.5x55mm Swedish, with a 24" round threaded barrel. This early production Swedish Mauser remains matching throughout, with its original finish thinning to a soft plum-toned patina. The walnut stock is in good condition with light handling impressions consistent with service use. The stock disc has been removed, as often seen on surplus rifles transitioned out of Swedish military service. The action is smooth and functions correctly, and the rifle retains its threaded muzzle, commonly fitted for blank-firing devices or muzzle brakes. Rifle comes with a period-correct Swedish sling. A fine example of Sweden’s dedication to precision military rifles at the turn of the 20th century.
