A true 1/4 pounder, proofed as a 4 bore and measures well over 1" bore, a rare piece of sporting history. The rifle has an excellent bore, lovely finish remains on the twist damascus patterned huge tube. This massive rifle weighs 16&1/4 lbs and shows evidence of what appears a well done wrist repair on the ebonized stock. The rifle is housed in a non-original though period mahogany case.
