Description:
Winchester Model 63 semi-automatic rifle chambered in 22 Long Rifle with a 23" barrel. This example is signed by master engraver Michel Courant above the ejection port. The front sight is fixed blade attached to a ramp banded to the front of the barrel with flip up hood. The rear has three folding leaf sights on a quarter rib. The sides of the receiver are in gold inlaid wildlife scenes with raccoons on the right and squirrel and bird on the left. The engravings are also done with scrollwork and gold wire borders. Gold wire scroll is also found on the grip cap and forend caps, trigger guard, front sight barrel band, and quarter rib. The stock set is two piece checkered English walnut with a caped pistol grip, checkered forearm, fluted straight comb with checkered steel buttplate. The only Winchester roll marks found on this gun is the oval proof on the receiver. Overall this gun remains in excellent condition with minimal handling wear. Seral 117985A. Gun only. .22 Long Rifle
