An Early Civil War 1/6 Plate Ambrotype Of An Officer Wearing His Pair Of Colt Percussion Army Revolvers In His Belt Which Has A Very Clear Eagle Buckle On It With His Hat At His Side In Fine Condition. The image is very clear throughout as shown. The image is so detailed that you can see the nipples on the cylinders on the pair of Colt Army Revolvers The belt & Eagle Buckle are also crisp & clear. The Kepi next to him has a "Co. D" on the top of it. The image is tinted in spots as shown. The case when closed measures 3 3/4 inches by 3 3/8 inches. There is a piece of tin adhered to the back of the ambrotype.This Is A Very Fine Example Of A Civil War 1/6 Plate Ambrotype Of An Officer Wearing His Pair Of Colt Percussion Army Revolvers In His Belt That Would Be A Fine Addition To Any Civil War Collection.This Image Is Fresh Out Of An Old Estate.
