The Para GI Expert was an entry-level, full-size 1911 pistol chambered in .45 ACP, manufactured by Para Ordnance (later Para USA). It was introduced around 2009 to provide an affordable, yet feature-rich 1911 option to new shooters. The company was acquired by Remington and the Para brand was discontinued around 2015, making the GI Expert only available on the used market. .45 ACP
