Description:
Serial #221798, 7.65mm (.32 ACP), 3 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a good looking pistol that has matching numbers on the frame, slide, barrel, and sideplate, with the metal retaining about 80-85% of the original blue, with silvering along the edges and projections, as well as fading to a mellow plum-brown patina along the balance. The checkered walnut grip has minor handling marks throughout the armory-added military oil finish, with some flattening of the knurled pattern, especially on the right side. A single original Mauser Banner marked magazine is included. The frontstrap is stamped with a police issue mark and rack number: "SchuPo Dz. 339" (Schutzpolizei, Danzig. Pistol 339). The Schutzpolizei were the uniformed police branch of German law enforcement, and this pistol was part of the police arsenal in what is now Gdansk, Poland. This is a very good-fine Model 1914 Mauser, with a desirable Polizei marking. FFL or C&R;
