This is what's known as a World Market or European Market FN Belgium Browning Auto-5. Since it was marketed overseas it has no scrolling and no picture of the legend, Mr. Browning. The only words in English are "Browning's Patent", instead you see: FABRIQUE NATIONALE D' ARMS DE GUIRRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE. ACIER SPECIAL rather than SPECIAL STEEL appears on the barrel. With an Auto-5 sold in the US you would see "5G" representing a 1965 production, but for this one sold outside the US the serial number shows "65". Every Automatic 5 lover should have at least one of these babies just because of their uniqueness. Absolutely beautiful wood and bluing on this Auto 5 and VERY little wear on the gold trigger testifying to the limited use this lovely girl had in the field since 1965. 27" ventilated rib barrel (as opposed to a 27 1/2" measurement for US guns) that has the Modified choke we all love.
