Description:
The Winchester Model 77 was Winchester’s mid 20th century attempt to field a modern, detachable magazine rimfire autoloader aimed at hunters and general shooters who preferred box magazine feeding instead of the ubiquitous tubular magazines of the period. This rifle was manufactured about 1960-63. It followed the trend of producing more compact, handy semi-automatic rimfires for sport and small game use. Winchester produced a few variants (sporter/carbine/target style) and offered typical finishes and stock choices of the era (blued metal with walnut being common). Exact feature sets and production details varied by production run and chambering.

- Feeding: Detachable box magazine - 8 round. The detachable magazine was one of the Model 77’s distinguishing traits

- Stock & finish: Walnut sporter grip stock, smooth finish, light to moderate handling marks, no scratches or cracks; LOP: 13 1/2", Black butt plate with the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. logo
- Blued metal: light to moderate wear and handling marks
- Receiver: Semi-automatic action, mechanically solid, fed by detacable magazines, thumb safety, magazine release inside the trigger guard, bolt hold button just in front of receiver on top right side
- Accessories: One 8 round detachable magazine, Weaver K2.5 rifle scope, 1" rings
- Condition: This is a great example of a used Winchester Model 77 Box Magazine .22 LR rifle. It is better than average for te bore, action, metal finishes and smooth finish stock. Has the original sights plus a Weaver K2.5 scope was added
