About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years. Now I feel that it is time to start selling a few things. All firearms transactions will be handled by a local Gun shop who will follow all firearms laws. All firearms purchased will be shipped by them to your F.F.L. I do my best to price my items fairly. If you see something that you are interested in, and you think that my price is out of line, please make an offer. I don't have much room for negotiation, but I will work with you if I can. I do not have many items to sell. Please keep checking my items and I will try to add regularly to my listings. I hope to find good homes for these items that are special to me. Please read descriptions and terms, I will endeavor to be accurate.

Description:
COLT Army Model 1917 Revolver Made in 1919, chambered for .45 ACP with 5 Full Moon Clips. This is a great example of a nice original Army revolver that has had light use but at some point was stored improperly. When I purchased it, there was some light surface rust that I removed with some gun oil and a paper towel. There is light pitting on the left side of the revolver and far less on the right side. Mechanically, the gun is tight and the action is solid and in time. The bore is good and the riflings are sharp. The grips look to be original but have shrink slightly, and the right grip seems to have been sanded where it meets the front strap. The metal has not been altered or refinished in any way. The sights are fixed and the front sight is shaped like a shark's fin. The photos show the original machining marks and these show how the gun was originally finished.
This historical Colt Army 1917 is 106 years old and fires perfectly. It is marked "United States Property". The Colt Stallion is clear and sharp. There is a circle above the cylinder latch that has what appears to be a JM- inside of it. I don't know if it is an inspectors mark or what else it could be. This one comes with 5 full moon clips so that you can easily load and shoot it.
I have done my best to take good, clear photos that accurately show the condition. Please look at them carefully and contact me with questions. Thanks for looking!

Buyer pays Insurance and Shipping costs. Shipping costs include: Dixie Gun & Fish transfer fees, soft case for the firearm, and professional packing and boxing in a sturdy container.

TERMS – PLEASE READ;

PAYMENT - I can accept money orders, cashier’s checks, bank checks, or personal checks (pending verification of funds).  Payments via USPS & UPS are acceptable.
My FFL dealer (Dixie Gun & Fish) securely packs and ships each firearm, following all firearms laws, and will include a signed copy of their FFL with each firearm shipped. No private sales on firearms!

SAFETY WARNING- Buyer is solely responsible for determining that a used gun is safe to shoot. The firearms offered may or may not have been test fired, and some have been only visually inspected. It is a requirement that every used firearm is inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing. The buyer agrees to hold seller harmless against damages, injury, or death caused by defective merchandise.

RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, the buyer pays all shipping charges both ways. Please ask questions.

Return Policy Guidelines of GunsInternational  Unless the buyer and seller agree to modify, as may be the case in a new gun, layaway, international sales and for used guns and accessories it must be clearly marked in the listing as No Return, the return policy is three (3) calendar days from the day the item(s) are received by the buyer or delivered to the FFL acting for the buyer.   The item may be returned for any reason, but the buyer must notify the seller within the three (3) calendar day inspection period.  The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges.  On a return the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller.  Once the firearm has been received by the seller and inspected a prompt refund will be issued.  Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item(s).  The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance i.e... Priority, Express, Blue Label etc.  The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer.  This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled.  Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund. Recommendation: Confirm purchase with all details via the Contact Seller form within the listing and print out the listing for your records. Industry standard is that if a buyer fails to perform on a layaway that any monies deposited are forfeited.  GunsInternational recommends all layaways are agreed in writing. Any modification of the 3 day return policy must be in writing by both buyer and seller.
