The .444 Marlin cartridge was designed to replace the .45-70 in modern firearms. It is sufficient for anything that you'll find in North America, and most of the rest of the world as well. This rifle, the .444 SS is based upon the Marlin 336 action, beefed up to handle the more powerful cartridges. It will make a great gun within the ranges normally associated with the .444 Marlin cartridge. It features a plain walnut stock, hooded front sight, properly filled rear sight slot, and a Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5x scope. It has a cross-bolt safety and is in excellent condition. .444 Marlin
