Introducing the Thanmes co. large frame .38 S&W top break revolver, a true gem from the late 19th century. This particular model, serial number 9699, was produced 1905.
This revolver features a 5-shot capacity, making it a reliable choice for personal protection or target shooting. The double-action trigger ensures quick and accurate shots.

Very good condition nickel-plated 5-shot revolver, mechanically sound in both single and double action. Minor freckling and handling marks on the finish. Excellent lock-up with only small amount of cylinder play. Patent date Sept. 30, 1902 marked. Original monogram hard rubber grips are in excellent condition. 3 1/4" Barrel with a nice bore , minor spot pitting and strong rifling. The top-strap markings remain very crisp and legible. A fine example of early 20th-century American top-break revolver production, rare in this condition.
Despite its age, this revolver is in excellent condition and has been well-maintained. It has tight lock-up, good timing but cylinder has a little play and will tend to roll back a tiny bit. Probably needs a cylinder tenson spring. Smooth action in single as well as double action. It's the perfect addition to any antique firearm collection or for those who appreciate a classic piece of history.
