Description:
Browning Midas Grade Superposed O/U 12 gauge shotgun made in 1966. Last year of the great, salt free, round knob, long tang Superposed guns!
This one is almost as spotless and pristine as it was when new nearly 60 years ago. A special order gun with 28" vent rib barrels that are factory choked Improved Cylinder (IC) and Improved Modified (IM) with white Bradley front bead and white mid bead on the hand filed vent rib. Please note that almost all Superposed guns show a wear mark in front of the forearm on the bottom of the barrel from moving the forearm when assembling and disassembling the gun...not this one!
The Midas grade engraved receiver was engraved by Browning Master Engraver, Andre Dierckx and signed on both sides.
The field style stock and forearm are crafted from a very select piece of Walnut being checkered and finished flawlessly. The round knob pistol grip stock has a 14 1/4" length of pull over the factory installed Browning 1" recoil pad. 1 1/2" drop at the combl; 2 1/2" drop at the heel with 1/4" cast favoring a right hand shooter.
The gun weighs 7 lbs. 6 oz. All finishes are original and retain 99% condition.
