Description:
One of the hardest of the Winchester made lever action muskets to find is the model 1892. The receiver retains a pleasing patina overall with some minor pitting in a couple spots, looks like it was lightly cleaned some time ago. 30 inch barrel retains a pleasing patina with original blue mixed in, having plummed over time. Markings are all clear. FIne bore with sharp rifling throughout with some minor pitting. Fine mechanical function. Wood stocks have some dings and handling marks, there is a hairline crack in the right side of the forend. Barrel is properly secured by 3 barrel bands. This gun would have taken a socket bayonet. As most of these were made to fill foriegn contracts, they almost never show up here in the United States. Made in 1911. We cannot accurately express the extreme rarity of this gun. Unlike other examples that have been on the market, this is a straight gun with no flies that recently came out of an old West Coast collection. This is one missing from many advanced Winchester collections, and an example you don't need to make excuses for. Serial number is 628781

We will sometimes take off barrels or stocks in an attempt to prevent damage in shipping. We only sell used guns, and have no way to know how many rounds have been through them.
