Description:
A matched pair of Colt medium frame double-action pre-war revolvers:

The Colt Army Special, and the Colt Official Police, medium frame double-action revolvers, with  a six-round cylinder were manufactured by the Colt's Manufacturing Company.  Released in 1908 as the Colt Army Special, the revolver was renamed the Colt Official Police in 1927 in order to better market to law enforcement agencies.  Offered for sale is a matched pair, chambered for multiple cartridges.  The Army Special will safely fire .38 Short and Long Colt, as well as .38 Special.  The Official Police will safely fire .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, as well as, .22 Winchester Rim Fire and .22 Magnum, by switching to a custom chambered cylinder.  The Army Special with serial number 512951 was manufactured in 1924.  The Official Police with serial number 1912 was manufactured in 1930.  Both fixed sight revolvers are high polish blue finish with six inch barrels and stylized hard rubber grips.  Both revolvers are in excellent condition, and come in a custom aluminum carrying case.
