The High Standard HD Military pistol is a .22 LR target pistol with a rich history, primarily produced for military training during World War II. It was adopted by the Office of Strategic Services in early 1944 and utilized in all World War II theaters. The pistol's efficiency led to its continued use by the CIA until at least 2001, and it was also favored by MACV-SOG teams for covert missions.
