1957 2nd Year Browning 22 long rifle wheel sight rifle as is in Excellent Factory Finish All Original Rifle. Stock and forearm are in very nice condition,original open pore finish and factory bluing. Barrel bore is shiny bright with excellent very strong rifling present. Please see the quality of the original factory engraving, all the fine detail is present. This is what a low use high quality original early Browning .22 rrifle should look like. Groved receiver for scope mount. Take notice to the minimal slide mark on the bolt caused by firing the rifle, you will see only the slightest of groove, indictating the low number of rounds fired.Serial Number on receiver face and butt plate match. This has been in my safe for over 15 years. Bought from the daughter of the original. Here's the story from her. Her mom bought this for her husband as a gift. first gun he ever owned. The family took a drive to the country to shoot it. Man loaded the gun with 10 rounds, shot it, when a man came from the property yelling at them for shooting on his property. The Browning owner put the gun away, drove family home and never fired it again. There is a few small marks on the stock. Bore is bright shiny with perfect rifling.This is one of the nicer wheel sight rifles I have owned over the years, only the 2 NIB 22 whaeel sight guns were nicer.
