Description:

Offered here is an exceptionally rare Ruger No. 1 single-shot rifle chambered in .357 Magnum, manufactured in 1982 as part of the Colorado Highway Patrol contract overrun. Only a handful of these rifles were ever produced, making this one of the most sought-after modern Ruger No. 1 variations.

This rifle represents one of the few examples that escaped the contract batch, combining the iconic falling-block action with one of the most unique chamberings ever offered by Ruger.

Features:

  • Model: Ruger No. 1 Single-Shot Rifle
  • Caliber: .357 Magnum (factory marking visible)
  • Year of Manufacture: 1982
  • Serial Number: 132-48770
  • Barrel: Blued, factory front sight
  • Stock: Beautiful walnut with strong grain and sharp factory checkering
  • Finish: Deep factory bluing in excellent condition
  • Optic: Leupold scope included (as pictured)
  • Accessories: Leather sling and recoil pad installed

Condition:

Excellent overall. Wood shows rich figure with minimal handling marks. Bluing remains deep and even throughout. Bore is bright and clean. Functionally tight with a crisp trigger. Scope optics are clear, and the rifle has been very well maintained.

This rifle has been well cared for and sparingly fired, showing only gentle use consistent with collector-grade ownership.

Collector Notes:

  • Rare Colorado Highway Patrol overrun configuration — only a small number left the factory.
  • .357 Magnum chambering in the Ruger No. 1 is seldom seen and highly desirable among collectors.
  • Ideal addition for serious Ruger enthusiasts or anyone assembling a complete No. 1 caliber collection.
