Synopsis: Beautiful Late Mauser, 1914, Transitional Finish, 498314, FB00985 Description: Magnificent and all matching Mauser Model 1914 Commercial with salt blue finish, fire blued small parts, wood grips and correct magazine. Serial Number 498314. Cal. 7.65mm. Standard configuration Model 1914 with 3.5” barrel having a half moon front sight and a drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide marked with the one line Mauser address in capital letters. Full serial number appears on the left side of the slide. The last three digits repeated on the left side of the barrel lug, back of the frame, and under the sideplate. Crown/Crown/U proofing on rear of slide behind sight and on the right side of the barrel lug. Salt blue finish with fire blued extractor, recoil spring guide, trigger, grip screws and magazine release. Magazine body is blued with three indicator slots on left. Mausesr banner floor plate with round toe. Condition: At least 98 % bright original salt blue finish with minor sharp edge wear largely on the left side of the slide near the muzzle. Comparable condition fire blued parts. Superb grip that is nearly new. Comparable condtion magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics.
