Colt Defender Lightweight – 9mm – 3" Barrel – 8+1 – Night Sight
Colt Defender Lightweight models have always been a nice choice as a concealed carry option. The Defender Lightweight that we have on consignment (serial #: DF012947) was manufactured in February, 2023.
Chambered in 9mm, this model has a 3 inch barrel and an 8 round magazine capacity. The pistol is a matte black cerakote and the grips are a cherry colored half-checkered type with the Colt logo. The front sight is a tritium night sight and it remains very bright. The trigger is skeletonized and an attractive feature of the pistol.
The grips are in Very Good – Excellent condition. The single action trigger is light and crisp. The pistol has a good bore, bright barrel and good rifling. The muzzle crown is Very Good with no nicks. The slide would grade as Good but we do note light scratches on both sides of the slide. Please see the photos. This pistol was likely a carry pistol and the slide, of course, will show signs of being carried.
Overall, this is a very nice Colt Defender and a good choice as a carry pistol or just to have fun with at the range. We think it’s in great mechanical condition with just a few cosmetic issues. Take a good look at this one and see if it is what you were looking for!
Purchase includes the pistol as shown, (2) 8 round Colt magazines, original case and owner’s manual.
