Description:
The Savage Axis II Precision rifle offers long-range accurized performance at a price point that doesn't break the bank. Built around Savage's proven and economic Axis II action, the rifle is fitted with a 22 ½" heavy profile threaded barrel for repeatable performance and stability, then bedded in a special Savage-exclusive aluminum chassis made by MDT. The system features a rubberized pistol grip which can be customized with other AR-pattern grips. The forend features M-lok attachment slots and a Firefield folding adjustable bipod is mounted on the bottom of the chassis. The rifle includes an adjustable Savage Accutrigger and the oversized bolt handle offers easy and quick operation and cycling, even in dirty conditions. This rifle is chambered in the capable and economic 6.5 Creedmoor—an excellent caliber for hunting medium to large game with a low recoil impulse and great performance over extended ranges. The gun has been fitted with a Vortex Crossfire II 4-16x50mm scope with sunshade and lens covers, mounted in an Aero Precision cantilever mount atop a 20 MOA picatinny scope rail—a great option for shooters exploring long-range precision for the first time! This Savage Axis II Precision has also been cerakoted by a previous owner with a pattern resembling old duck camo or military "frogskin" patterns; the finishing is very impressive for an amateur job! The rifle itself is in excellent condition and appears to have been fired very little. The bore is in great condition and the receiver, barrel, and chassis have no notable cosmetic flaws or damage. This rifle includes one polymer MDT 10-round AICS-pattern magazine and Vortex scope setup with lens covers and sunshade, but no case or box is included. 6.5 Creedmoor
