The Browning BDA .45 ACP is a semi-automatic pistol with a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) trigger, manufactured in West Germany by Sig Sauer in the late 1970s and imported by Browning. It is technically an early version of the Sig Sauer P220, with key differences including a "heel-mounted" magazine release. Key features Manufacturer: Made in West Germany by Sig Sauer for import by Browning Arms Co.. Action: Double-action/single-action (DA/SA) semi-automatic with a frame-mounted decocking lever. Magazine release: European-style heel-mounted release on the bottom of the grip. Markings: The slide was typically marked "Browning Arms Co." on the left and "SIG-Sauer System" on the right. Caliber: .45 ACP, with a magazine capacity of 7 rounds. Construction: Features a matte-blued slide and a black anodized aluminum frame. Grips: Checkered black polymer grips.
