Listing a 1898 Springfield Krag rifle, which has the type 4 Headless cocking piece bolt. Used on carbines and rifles for a while to save production cost but gave it up. Seldom seen, has 30" barrel and comes with bayonet and scabboard . I've seen bayonets alone sell for $300. This rifle is in fine condition both wood and metal, no cleaning kit , cartouche behind the trigger guard a firing proof. Very shootable rifle. sn 437547, I believe it's the type 1901 rear sight , explains in Joe Poyer's book on Krag rifles, well researched a must for avid Collectors. I ship only to a FFL and through the USPS , insured with tracking number. Payment by M.O. or Cashiers check.these unaltered Krags are getting harder to find especially in good condition and with the very rare type four bolt. I've never seen one much less owned one.
