Offered for you consideration is a gorgeous Colt Mark IV Series 70 pistol in .45 ACP caliber! This 1980 vintage Government Model pistol is in VF condition with 98%+ of the original finish remaining. The barrel is original to the pistol and marked,
"-COLT .45 AUTO-" and "MK IV / SERIES '70". The bore is mint, bright & shiny with strong lands and grooves. The finish on the side panels of the slide are a high polish deep Colt blue, which contrasts nicely with the non-glare matte finish on the top of the slide. The original checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions rate excellent with normal light surface wear on the rampant Colt emblem. The Colt logo magazine is correct and also rates excellent. The white outline front and rear sights are crisp and provide quick & easy target acquisition - they are the best style of iron sights I've ever used. This is an exceptional example of these classic and desirable Colt Government Model pistols. It will be a solid investment and a fantastic addition to any collection!!
