Offered for sale is an exceptional 1975 Browning Superposed Lightning Midas Grade, a masterpiece of Belgian craftsmanship and artistry. This shotgun was engraved by master engraver André Dierckx, featuring deep-cut scrollwork with gold-inlaid game scenes depicting birds and a retriever. The engraving is crisp, vibrant, and unmistakably Midas Grade — the highest factory level offered by Browning at the time.
The firearm is complemented by highly figured tiger-stripe walnut with fine hand checkering and a Browning recoil pad. It includes all four factory-fitted skeet barrel sets — 12 gauge, 20 gauge, 28 gauge, and .410 bore — all serial-numbered to match the receiver. The barrels are vent-rib, chambered for 2¾" shells, and retain excellent bluing throughout.
This Midas Grade Lightning locks up tight, functions flawlessly, and showcases the precision and elegance that made the Belgian Superposed line legendary.
