Description: The Remington Model 700 is one of the most iconic bolt-action centerfire rifles of all time. Introduced in 1962, it's renowned for its accuracy, reliability, and versatility. It has served as the basis for everything from hunting rifles to military sniper systems like the U.S. Army M24. This example is a well-maintained 24"-barreled BDL Deluxe model chambered in .338 Winchester Magnum, a powerful and flat-shooting round designed to take big game like moose, brown bear, and elk out to 300 yards and well beyond. The stock is a beautiful gloss-finished walnut with a skip-line checkered grip and forend, and an original skip-line rubber butt pad. It also features a Monte Carlo cheek rest. It does appear to have an amateur filled barrel bedding job, but it is solid and fits well. There is no serious damage anywhere to the wood, although it does show the obvious small marks of a gun that has been on a good number of hunting trips. The action is smooth and features a serrated trigger and jeweled bolt. The bluing is deep and dark. Like the stock, it does show some small nicks and marks from all those trips into the wilderness. The receiver is topped with a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40mm scope on a Leupold mount with flip-up covers front and back by Butler Creek. The glass is clear and bright. The barrel is also drilled and tapped for open sporter sights. Overall, this is a solid rifle with plenty of capability for your next hunt and on into the future. This Remington 700 does not include a box or case. .338 Winchester Magnum Price: $1,249.99 Chambers: .338 Winchester Magnum Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Good Bore Condition: Very good Barrels: 24 Triggers: Serrated Stock Dimensions: "13 1/2"" LOP, Monte Carlo-style cheek rest Fore End: Gloss-finished skip-line checkered walnut Butt Pad: Original skip-line checkered rubber buttpad Weight: 8 lbs 9 oz Sights: Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40mm scope with Leupold rings & bases; barrel is drilled & tapped for open sporter sights Item Location: Kearney, NE |
