Description:
The Remington Model 700 is one of the most iconic bolt-action centerfire rifles of all time. Introduced in 1962, it's renowned for its accuracy, reliability, and versatility. It has served as the basis for everything from hunting rifles to military sniper systems like the U.S. Army M24. This example is a BDL Deluxe model chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, also developed in 1962 for long-range big-game hunting. The internal hinged floorplate magazine holds 3 rounds. The Deluxe model features a gloss-finished walnut stock with classic skip-line checkering on the pistol grip and forend, a sculpted Monte Carlo-style cheek rest, and a jeweled bolt. The B-series prefix on the serial number indicates mid-1980's production. It is in really good shape overall and has been well-cared for by its previous owner. You can tell it's been on quite a few hunting trips by the various small nicks and other marks that will show on a gun that has spent some time in the field. There are, however, no cracks in the wood or major damage anywhere; the factory bluing is original, and it has the original butt pad. The front sight is in place, although it has been bumped over to the right just a bit. The rear sight was removed to install the scope, and is not included, but the original screws were put back in place. The scope is a Leupold Vari-X IIc, 3-9x40mm. It's in good shape with some small finish nicks you might expect to find on a field gun like this. There are flip-up covers fore and aft, by Butler Creek. The glass is bright and clear. Also included with the rifle is a stitched leather sling. This rifle does is not sold with a case or box. 7mm Remington Magnum
